I am married to an ex Primary School Head teacher and have two grown up sons and two grandsons for whose school I am also a governor. I then worked for ten years as School Business Manager for 3 Warwickshire Primary Schools including Nathaniel Newton until my retirement in 2019. I am a 64 year old qualified accountant and spent over 30 years in financial and general management roles in industry. It's a pleasure to be part of such a excellent school that has a great educational ethos and I hope that I can add to its growth in some small way again. In the meantime 2 of my children are now at university and 2 are at the high school, they all went to this school and it provided them with a fantastic start to their education. Hi, having been a governor at Nathaniel Newton previously I 'retired' when I no longer had children at the school but for some strange reason they recently asked if I wanted to return. My three children are grown up now, and making their own way in the world, so my time – Covid-19 permitting – is spent visiting them, spending days out around the UK with friends, playing with my Grandson, working in the garden, walking the local countryside and working towards living in a more minimalist home! As a Governor at Nathaniel Newton I can monitor the pupils collective progress and celebrate their achievements, whilst promoting the policies and conditions in school to give every child an excellent education. I have worked with Primary aged children for 40 years, and love their enthusiasm and interest in everything. Making sure the School provides for the individual needs of each child.
